Telemetry through audio channel


Hi guys, i posted a question regarding telemetry in another thread but i thought a more specific thread would be more appropriate.
My question is:
Is the telemetry protocol sent over the audio channel compatible with immersion rc ez tracker?
i have an ez tracker board here and i want to build an antenna tracker. if playuav can do this it would save me £100 from buying immersion rc tiny telemetry/ez osd.
as i already have all the equipment on my crafts to display telemetry (apm/pixhawk, playuav osd) i do not really want to buy anymore immersion rc equipment.
i`m not sure if the apm and immersion rc telemetry protocols are the same but it would be great if playuav could take telemetry data from apm/pixhawk and send it down an audio channel to control ez tracker.
is it possible, even with future firmware?

    Andy's AirOSD board and firmware can transfer telemetry through audio/video. Andy also helped to implement video telemetry on PlayuavOSD board. I am studying his code.

    If we know the protocol of ez tracker, maybe it is good to start with Andy's AirOSD.
